Join the Verona Police Department for a Prescription Drug Take-Back Event, held in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This initiative offers a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired medications, helping to protect our community and the environment.
Why It Matters:
Improper disposal of pharmaceuticals, such as flushing them down the toilet or pouring them down the drain, can lead to contamination of our water supply. Water treatment facilities aren’t equipped to remove all pharmaceutical compounds, and trace amounts are increasingly being detected in rivers and lakes worldwide.

Pills/Tablets: Please empty all pills into a sealed plastic baggie before arriving.
Liquids & Creams: Must remain in their original containers.
