About this Event
This is a class for those expecting and their birth partners who would like to learn more about breastfeeding and infant nutrition. This class will provide information, encouragement, and support for successful infant feeding.
Topics covered include the proper positioning, and attachment, maintaining milk supply, learning feeding cues, what to expect in the early weeks, and strategies to deal with early feeding challenges.
This class educates and encourages however you choose to feed your baby. We discuss breastfeeding, pumping and formula feeding.
Partners and support persons are strongly encouraged to attend.
PLEASE NOTE: All classes are in person.
All classes are free of charge as of 2026!
Due to regulations we cannot allow anyone under the age of 18 into the class room (unless they are expecting).
Our classes are held on the ground floor in a room called the Moakley Conference Center. Please note at this time our Moakley entrance is closed. You must park in the main parking lot and come through the main entrance. Take the stairs down one floor or visitor elevators to G. Follow hospital signs for the Moakley Conference Center. Continue down the red tile hall (you will pass the kitchen on your right.) Then turn right at the end of the hall into the “Conference and Cancer Center.” If you become lost, ask a staff member or the front desk.
In case of poor weather conditions, please call 508-427-3000 and the switchboard operator will inform you of any cancellations.
