Preparing Beds for Fall Planting
About this Event
It's almost time to plant fall crops. Do you know what you need to do before planting? Whether you're a beginner gardener or an experienced gardener looking for new tips, join us for this class. We'll cover how to terminate solarizing and cover cropping; making sure your raised bed is ready for a new season (and what to do if it's not!); getting your irrigation planned and ready; how to amend your soil; how to till or turn your soil, and how to build a lasagna bed.
Please note: Recording the presentation, either video or audio, is not permitted unless written permission is provided by the educator.
The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events. For disability accommodations such as sign language interpreters and listening devices, please contact Beth Marlowe ([email protected] or 904-255-7450) at least 2 weeks in advance.
