4 dog sled – 6.2 miles
6 dog – 8 miles
8/10 dog – 12.5 miles
Open – 16.2 miles
Recreational class - 4 miles
Rec class will start 30 min after the final open class team leaves the starting line. (Subject to change depending on how timing works out for everyone at Prelim 1).

– Temperature cutoff
Preliminary races will be cancelled if the temperature at the Fairbanks International Airport is -20F or below at 8:15 a.m. on the day of the race. The temperature reported by the National Weather Service, at the Fairbanks International Airport at cut off time, regardless of the time of the update, is considered the official airport temperature.
The phone line for the National Weather Service to check the temperature has been out of order, so please use the temperature on NWS website at Fairbanks International Airport: https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=64.8154&lon=-147.8567
– Entry fees
$15 per entry for all classes. We accept cash, check and debit/credit card payments.
– Sign-up Times
Skijoring entries must be submitted by 11:00 a.m.
4-dog entries must be submitted by 11:30 a.m.
6-dog entries must be submitted by 12:00 p.m.
8/10-dog, Open, and Rec class entries must be submitted by 12:30 p.m.
– Start Times
Skijor class will start at 11:30 a.m.
4-dog class will start at 12:00 p.m.
6-dog will start at 12:30 p.m. / 6-dog class will start at 12:45 p.m. if more than 15 teams enter the 4-dog race.
10-dog class will start 15 min after the final 6-dog team leaves the start line.
Open class will start 15 min after the final 10-dog team leaves the start line.
Recreational class will start 30 min after the final open class team leaves the start line.
