PreHacks

PreHacks is an annual hackathon hosted by BU Spark! that is personalized for Black, LatinX, and Indigenous high school students to expand the borders of creativity through technology. With our mission to increase inclusion in STEM fields, at PreHacks we intend to provide a supportive and innovative setting for all participants. No coding experience necessary!

Gear up for a day of coding, collaboration, and innovation. If you're passionate about computer science, technology, or just looking for an fun experience, PreHacks is the place to be! This hackathon serves as a stepping stone towards youth innovation as high school students can build world facing projects and expand their coding skills. It will feature tech workshops, keynote speakers, mentorship, and $1000 in prizes for winning projects.

During this event, students will be given a unique opportunity to find community at Boston University and explore different career paths in technology. Come hear from leaders in techand learn from BU computer science, data science and computer engineering students.
