Pregnancy & Infant Loss: A Training for Perinatal & Postpartum Professionals

Every professional who serves growing families will eventually walk a family through a loss. It isn't a matter of if, but when.
Birth doulas, postpartum doulas, lactation professionals, mental health professionals, nurses, pelvic floor therapists, midwives, social workers. The list of perinatal professionals is endless. If you serve families in the prenatal or postpartum period, this is already part of your work whether you feel ready for it or not.
Taught and hosted by perinatal and loss professionals, we will cover losses from the first trimester through one year of age. Not just the clinical piece, but how grief actually moves, what to say when there is nothing to say, and how to set your own beliefs and reactions aside so families get the support and resources they deserve.
RESOURCE FAIR:
Local organizations that serve loss families will be on site with information, resources, and ways to plug into the bereavement community. Connect with them, learn what they do, and take home materials you can hand directly to a client.
LIVE PARENT PANEL:
We close the day with parents who have lived it. They'll share what support looked like for them, what helped, what didn't, and the difference it made. This piece is so crucial for professionals to hear firsthand how we can better care for our friends, families, and clients we serve.
