About this Event
The completion of the Human Genome Project proposed a genetic revolution in medicine. Pharmacogenomics - one’s genome holding the key for personalised treatments - being one of the most immediate achievements. Yet, more than two decades later, few applications made it to the clinic. This is now about to change with the NHS embarking on a decade of genomic medicine. This workshop brings together leaders in the field, such as Prof William Newman and Dr Ellen McDonagh, with early career researchers and clinicians to map the state of Pharmacogenomics in 2025. Talks will cover the whole breadth of pharmacogenetic research, from clinical implementation in diverse settings or underrepresented groups to state-of-the-art research on novel application to provide better care for patients.
