What is PCU?
PCU, short for Precision Camera University, is a two-day, hands-on photography experience, featuring specialized photography workshops led by four leading photographers in the industry today. Each student will be placed in one of four breakout groups that will cycle through each instructor’s immersive 4 - hour workshop over the two days. Each workshop will be a mixture of lecture time and hands-on shooting with live models, professional-grade studio sets, and dynamic lighting.
This weekend is an amazing opportunity to enhance your portfolio, network with other photographers, and gain exclusive insights from world-class instructors!

About the instructors and their workshops:
Bob Davis:
With over 40 years as a professional photographer, his career began in high school and led him through prestigious opportunities at Columbia College and newspapers like the Chicago Sun-Times. His work, a passport to world events, includes photographing icons like Michael Jordan and significant events such as presidential elections and celebrity weddings. Today, as a partner in Bob & Dawn Davis Photography & Design, he continues to capture life's pivotal moments, driven by a deep passion for storytelling through photography.

Anabel Dflux:
Anabel DFlux began her artistic journey at ten with her first camera, founding DFlux Photography in 2009 to capture diverse subjects from animal photography to live music. A SIGMA Ambassador since 2019, she uses the latest lenses to enhance her work. Driven by a passion for music, she started photographing musicians at sixteen, quickly becoming a notable figure in music photography. Anabel has since crafted visual identities for hundreds of bands and her work has been extensively published.

Julie formally opened her photography business in 2009, beginning her journey with landscape photography and exploring many genres over the years. She has years of experience with portraiture, documentary, weddings and events, real estate, and conceptual photography. This experience gives a powerful perspective for her work to express the many unique viewpoints and styles of her clients.

Workshop Topic:
Mastering Light for All Situations
Mastering appropriate lighting for various scenarios can prove challenging and bewildering. This course equips you with the skills to effectively employ swift, efficient, and optimal lighting techniques under high-pressure circumstances. Develop confidence in handling even the most challenging lighting conditions through easy-to-apply methods. An in depth look into knowing when and how to use: natural light, hard and soft lighting, flash and video light. This is a comprehensive lighting course.
Schedule
On Saturday, October 19th, you will arrive at 8 am for your first class, dismiss for lunch at 12 pm then return for your second class at 1 pm. The next day you will return for your third class at 8 am, dismiss for lunch at 12 pm, then conclude with your fourth and final class at 1 pm. You will have ample time throughout the two days to learn, shoot, and interact with the instructors and fellow classmates during each session. We are emphasizing more shooting time than lecture time this year, so be sure to bring extra batteries and memory cards.
The schedules for both Saturday and Sunday are as follows:
Saturday:
8 am- 12 pm: Class 1 (4 hour session)
12 pm - 1 pm: Lunch* (1 hour)
1 pm - 5 pm: Class 2 (4 hour session)
Sunday:
8 am- 12 pm: Class 3 (4 hour session)
12 pm - 1 pm: Lunch* (1 hour)
1 pm - 5 pm: Class 4 (4 hour session)
*Lunch is not provided, however there are restaurants within the resort’s premises.
