About this Event
The Acadiana PACEs Alliance and New Hope Lafayette cordially invite you to join them for an Pre-Summit Film Screening evening focused on learning about adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) through watching the 2016 documentary film, "Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope". After the film, there will be a brief panel discussion, featuring members of the community representing representatives from criminal justice, the school system, and physical health branches of the Acadiana area. This will be a time to focus on breaking the cycles of adversity and disease of Acadiana, and will serve as a prequel to our full Summit: Courageous Conversations about Trauma Affecting our Youth, taking place on Friday, September 20, from 8:00am-4:00pm. Registration for the Summit is open and seating is limited - to find out more and reserve your seat, please see our separate EventBrite event here: https://seminarfall2024.eventbrite.com
Doors will open at 5:00, with the film beginning at 5:30 and a panel discussion from 6:30-7:30. This Pre-Summit Film Screening is free of charge, but seating is limited. Reserve your seat today!
Parking is free and the building is accessible. We look forward to growing as a community with you!
