What is Pre-Selection?
Basically, Pre-Selection is Bastion Akademie's recruitment/selection for the Bastion Basic Training Phase, hence the Pre-Selection.
What does Pre-Selection entail?
Bastion Akademie follows the proven recruitment model of "Recruit for Attitude; Train for Skill".
To this end, Bastion Akademie recruits with:
- Integrity
- Ethics
- a non-giving up and a can-do attitude.
Therefore, you don't need to be top fit, a bodybuilder, or a smart-looking superhero.
During Pre-Selection, you can expect the following:
- Fitness Tests to ascertain whether you are physically trainable, not necessarily to measure your level of fitness.
- Sleeping in the veld under survival conditions.
- Phobia Tests, notably water phobia.
- Comprehension Tests.
