Pre-Game Opening Day Party 2025 on The Michigan Pedaler

The Michigan Pedaler presents our Opening Day ride! Join us on our pedal pubs as we enjoy the city while we celebrate one of the best days of the year -- Opening Day! We'll pedal around the city, check out the tailgating scene, while making some stops to join the party. All the while, we'll be preparing for a Tiger's win (hopefully) and the unofficial start of summer!

We will have a drop off at Comerica Park at 12:15 P.M., while those who choose may come back to McShane's for a 12:45 P.M. drop off.

Each rider can bring up to a six pack of beer or refreshments on the bike. Snacks are welcome too. Remember, this ride will start and ultimately end at McShane's. If you are planning on being dropped off at Comerica Park, remember to only bring on the bike what you will finish since you can't take anything into the stadium! For those attending the game, you can return to McShane's on the McShane's shuttle bus after the game.

Prior to the ride:

Start your day at McShane's Irish Pub. They open that day at 7 A.M. Enjoy a baseball atmosphere at the historic corner of Michigan and Trumbull -- an intersection well-known to long-time Tiger fans. McShane's will be offering drink specials all day long.

At 10:15 A.M., make your way to the McShane's parking lot on the Southwest corner to get ready for your ride. At 10:25 A.M., the driver will go over a couple rules and then the ride will be on its way.

McShane's has their own secured parking lot on the SW corner of Michigan Ave and Trumbull.

During the ride:

We’re going play some music, laugh, take pictures, and have a great time on Detroit's Party Bike!

With electric assist, our guests never pedal too hard!

We'll be hanging out in Corktown and Downtown Detroit including Campus Martius, Greektown, and of course, Comerica Park.

There is no cover at McShane's! Keep the party going after your ride at McShane's and have a great time in Corktown.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Since we will be making stops at bars, riders must be 21 years or older with photo ID to participate.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

McShane's has a parking lot on the SW corner of Michigan Ave and Trumbull. If you type in "Eaton Springs" to your GPS, it'll take you right to the lot. You will pay $10 but receive a $10 Gift Certificate to use at the bar. There's additional parking near McShane's in other paid lots or free or paid street parking on the surrounding side streets. Many choose to arrive via Uber or Lyft. We encourage you to select a designated driver before your event.

What can I bring into the event?

What's the refund policy?

There are no refunds once a ticket is purchased. Rides will take place regardless of temperature or weather conditions, including rain.

If there is weather or another factor that The Michigan Pedaler deems unsafe for our guests or undrivable for our bike, we will cancel the ride and refund ticket purchasers' money. A basic expectation is: if there is if there's an accumulation of rain or snow currently occurring on roads, the ride would be cancelled. Otherwise, expect the event to take place.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, we must see your ticket in order for you to get on the bike. Tickets can be printed or shown electronically.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, that is ok. The name on the ticket does not have to match the name of the person who attends.
