Velkommen til PRAXIS klasser høst 2025. Dette er et tilbud for deg som er scenekunstner, personer med bevegelseserfaring eller om du er nysgjerrig, interessert i bevegelse og ønsker å lære! Alle kropper er velkommen og det meste egner seg til å tilpasse eller tilrettelegge for forskjellige behov. Om klassene: Timen vil fokusere på mobilisering av vår multidireksjonelle kropps- og rombevissthet. Gjennom enkle øvelser vil vi jobbe oss gjennom å finne forbindelser, vekt, letthet og samrespons i kroppene våre og mellom kroppene. Finne ut hva slags valg man kan ta når man danser med andre.
Bio: Orfee Schuijt (FR/NL) er en danser og koreograf basert i Oslo, Norge. Opprinnelig fra Frankrike, tok hun sin BA ved Theaterschool i Amsterdam og fullførte senere en master i New Performative Practices ved DOCH i Stockholm. Schuijts kunstneriske praksis er dypt tverrfaglig og utforsker det sanselige forholdet mellom animerte og uanimerte kropper. Hennes arbeid tar ofte utgangspunkt i danserens perspektiv, med fokus på kroppsliggjøring, utvikling av scores, og hvordan ytre og indre forbindelser kan oversettes til fysisk materiale. Som danser har Schuijt opptrådt i produksjoner av anerkjente koreografer som Eivind Seljeseth, Janne Camilla Lyster, Heine & Yukiko Avdal, Francesco Scavetta, Arno Schuitemaker, Keren Levi og Itamar Serussi. Fra 2017 til 2020 samarbeidet hun med den norske eksperimentelle popsangeren Jenny Hval, hvor de turnerte internasjonalt og skapte performative konserter og utstillinger knyttet til Hvals album på prestisjetunge arenaer og festivaler som Noma PS1, Øya-festivalen, Roskilde, Big Ears, Arcosanti og Ultima-festivalen. Schuijts egne verk, inkludert Thing Power, Fabulation og Shaking the Libidinous, har blitt vist på internasjonale arenaer og festivaler som Blackbox Teater i Oslo, Rimi/Imir i Stavanger, Weld i Stockholm, Ehkå Spring Roll Festival i Turku og Rosendal Teater i Trondheim. I samarbeid med Bára Sigfúsdóttir ble hun nominert til «Årets koreograf» for sin forestilling Fabulation ved den islandske scenekunstprisen i 2023. Schuijt mottok et treårig arbeidsstipend fra Norsk kulturråd i 2018 og har vært medlem av danseralliansen SKUDA siden samme år.

About the classes: The class will centre around the mobilisation of our multidirectional body and space awareness. Through simple exercises we will work through finding connections, weight, lightness and co response in our bodies and between bodies. Finding what kind of choices one can make when dancing with others.
Bio: Orfee Schuijt (FR/NL) is a dancer and choreographer based in Oslo, Norway. Originally from France, she earned her BA from the Theaterschool of Amsterdam and later completed a Master in New Performative Practices at DOCH in Stockholm. Schuijt’s artistic practice is deeply multidisciplinary, exploring the sensuous relationship between animated and inanimate bodies. Her work often stems from the perspective of the dancer, with a focus on embodiment, the development of scores. As a dancer, Schuijt has performed in productions by choreographers such as Eivind Seljeseth, Janne Camilla Lyster, Heine & Yukiko Avdal, Francesco Scavetta, Arno Schuitemaker, Keren Levi, and Itamar Serussi. From 2017 to 2020, she collaborated with Norwegian experimental pop singer Jenny Hval, touring internationally and creating performative concerts and exhibitions connected to Hval’s albums at prestigious venues and festivals including Noma PS1, Øya Festival, Roskilde, Big Ears, Arcosanti, and Ultima Festival. Schuijt’s own works, including Thing Power, Fabulation, and Shaking the Libidinous, have been showcased at international venues and festivals such as Blackbox Teater in Oslo, Rimi/Imir in Stavanger, Weld in Stockholm, Ehkå Spring Roll Festival in Turku and Rosendal Teater in Trondheim. In collaboration with Bára Sigfúsdóttir, she was nominated as ‘Choreographer of the Year’ for her performance Fabulation at the Icelandic Performing Arts Awards in 2023. Schuijt was awarded a three-year working grant from the Norwegian Culture Fund in 2018 and has been a member of the dancer alliance SKUDA since the same year.

Drop-in price must be paid upon arrival before the class via vipps or cash. The sliding scale system allows you to pay according to your financial situation. The recommended price is 150kr. By paying more you make it possible for others to pay less.
