The Italian Sunday meal is a centuries-old tradition rooted in faith, rest and family. Known as the pranzo della domenica, this would typically be enjoyed with family and friends around lunchtime to cherish togetherness following Sunday mass. Here, we translate the experience to a dinnertime family-style meal where we will learn more about this sacred ritual while sharing some of the typical, hearty homemade foods now enjoyed not only in Italy, but by Italian immigrants worldwide. In fact, in North America, the term 'Sunday Gravy' has become iconic as a direct result of serving a robust ragu for the Sunday meal.
Roman born-and-raised, Erica Foffi, will lead us through our lazy Sunday time of rest and connectedness with foods that have bound generations of Italians for hundreds of years. Please join us in the breaking of bread, the pouring of wine (or your beverage of choice) and the passing of plates. Tonight you are famiglia!

Antipasto Misto
A classic Italian antipasto platter, served family-style. A selection of Italian cheeses such as provolone and bocconcini, Italian-style deli meats including prosciutto, salami, and capocollo, marinated olives, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and bruschetta topped with seasoned tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.
Baked Pasta with Ragù
Baked rigatoni pasta with a slow-cooked tomato and meat sauce, finished with mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano. A vegetarian option will be available, prepared with a simple tomato sauce, mozzarella, and Parmigiano.
Polpette della Nonna
Traditional Italian meatballs made the old-fashioned way, with a mix of beef and pork, Parmigiano Reggiano, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, and garlic. Slowly simmered in tomato sauce until tender, soft, comforting, and full of flavour.
Roasted Potatoes
Golden-brown with extra-virgin olive oil.
Sautéed Greens
Sautéed spinach and rapini, simply prepared with olive oil and garlic, just as they would be served at a traditional Italian Sunday table.
Torta della Nonna
A classic custard-filled tart topped with pine nuts, and the perfect ending to a leisurely Sunday meal.
