Please join Friends of Wilderness Park and The Lincoln Parks and Recreation Greenways Department for a prairie restoration volunteer event!We'll be planting 300 native plant plugs in a prairie just south of Pioneers Blvd west of the Jamaica North Trail.
This is an area which has been cultivated for many years though cedar cuts and prescribed burns and now it's time to bring some important species back to the area.
Please meet us at the Pioneers Blvd entrance between 1st Street and the Jamaica North Trail on Pioneers Blvd.
The event will be led by the Greenways Department of Lincoln Parks and Recreation.
Please wear long pants, gloves, hat, and sunscreen. Bring shovels if you have them. For more information contact Aaron Druery at [email protected].
