Support natural areas and wildlife by riding your bicycle in Prairie Pedal! The Macon County Conservation Foundation will hold its annual bicycling fundraiser on Sunday, September 26 at Rock Springs Conservation Area. The event supports natural areas and wildlife in central Illinois.Choose from a 20, 40, or 62 mile route along scenic country roads. Register by September 9 for a discounted rate of $25/rider. Register any time after that, up to and including the day of the event, for $30/rider. Your registration includes a pair of Prairie Pedal cycling socks, well stocked rest stops, support vehicles to assist riders, and a delicious chili lunch afterwards! Riders for the 40 and 62 mile routes may check-in between 6:30am and 8am. Riders on the 20 mile route may check-in between 8am and 10am.
All routes begin and end at Rock Springs Conservation Area, in Decatur, IL.
