The 31st annual Prairie Homestead Antique Power Show and Market will take place at the Jenison Meacham Memorial Arts Center and Farm, 1179 Taylor Ave., just north of Belmond, on August 20-22.This year the show will feature Oliver tractors and Monitor engines. All exhibitors of any make tractor or gas engine are welcome at the show.
Besides tractors and machinery, the show will feature a large vendors’ market each day. Visitors will find a wide variety of items for sale.
There will be freewill hamburger and sweet corn supper at 5 p.m., followed by a spark show and fireworks on August 20 at dusk. Antique tractor pulls will take place August 21 and 22.
Other attractions are daily tractor parades, a corn maze, plowing, oat threshing, corn shelling, sawing at the sawmill, potato harvesting, corn picking and cooking demonstrations on an antique stove. Children will love the petting zoo and play area featuring a wooden train and sand pile.
