Prairie Fest 2022

Campton Township is hosting their Annual Prairie Fest at Historic Corron Farm on Saturday, August 13, 2022, 11 am – 3 pm (rain or shine).

Historic Corron Farm is located at 7N761 Corron Road (NE corner of Silver Glen and Corron Roads). This Free Event includes parking, admission, various activities, tours, and refreshments. This event is open to the Public, Free, and no advance registration required

There will be guided tours of 1850 Corron Home, the "Old Brick," and 1888 Hired Man's House. “Old Brick” is The 1850s brick Greek revival home built by Robert C. Corron, one of Campton Township’s earliest settlers. Restored 1800’s Carriages, Farm Equipment, Civil War letters, early photos, sheet music, and vintage postcards will be on display. Activities include Hayride tours of oak savanna and prairie and children's games.

The Corron Farm Preservation Society, a 501(c) (3) and Illinois tax exempt organization will hold a 50/50 raffle to raise funds for restoration projects and to support their Mission.
