This Retreat

Misha will offer her wisdom in this day of meditation, walking meditation, and talks.

We offer this program on a sliding scale of $30 - $150, which includes a donation for the teacher. However, we turn no one away for lack of funds. We have a sliding-scale option for individuals who pay below our registration range.

Misha Merrill was ordained a Zen monk in 1988 by Les Kaye Roshi in the lineage of Shunryu Suzuki-Roshi of the San Francisco Zen Center. She received Dharma Transmission (permission to teach) from him in 1998 and has been leading Zen Heart Sangha in the mid-Peninsula Bay Area since 1993. She also teaches young children at the Peninsula School of Menlo Park. She lives in the hills above Stanford with her husband, dog and cat, and joyfully cultivates a large garden for recreation.

This Retreat

Please bring a bag lunch, your cushion (if you have one), funds for potentially purchasing books, a covered container for water, and masks as needed to protect yourself. SBMG will provide hot water and tea as well as cushions and chairs.
