About this Event
Play is not something we grow out of, it’s something many of us forget how to return to.
Join improvisational actor and experiential educator Kerstin Caldwell for playful, experiential workshops that reconnect us with presence, creativity, and authentic expression.
Improvisation isn’t about being funny.
It’s about listening, responding, and being fully here.
Through theater games and simple childhood play, we rediscover something many of us have lost: the ability to move through the world with curiosity instead of fear.
You are invited to join the six-week series.
No acting experience required. All experience levels welcome.
The Practice of Playful Presence
Mondays | April 13 – May 18 | 6:30–8:30 PM
In a world full of noise and distraction, there is a space to come to remember the fully embodied joy and wonder you felt as a child. This six-week journey explores how improvisation and play can transform the way we relate to ourselves, each other, and the present moment.
Combining traditional improvisational games with basic principles of neuroscience, individuals will experience how playing in a safe and inclusive environment has the capacity to rewire the nervous system away from fear-based living in order to move toward love-based being.
Together we’ll play our way toward a more embodied sense of self-awareness, while also challenging limiting beliefs of not feeling safe when engaged in authentic self-expression. Participants will leave the six-weeks inspired to continue their own daily Practice of Playful Presence that can evolve and grow with them beyond the course.
Each week builds on the previous one, creating a supportive space for exploration and growth.
No prior improv experience is necessary.
