Information on Training - Please read carefully before booking
We believe the key to great support happens when people invest in learning, and that we should be putting things that help in place early.
Through consultation of our families and wider stakeholders, we have developed our training model: Theory-Practice-Evaluate.
Delegates should attend all three sessions to get the best out of the learning, so please ensure you note when all three sessions take place.
The sessions will cover theory of autism, practical strategies aimed at young children and a chance to meet other parents and ask questions. The sessions are jointly facilitated by staff from Perth Autism Support and the Early years Inclusion Team, Perth and Kinross Council.
Session 1: 02/05/25 – We will deliver an information session on the general understanding of autism, how we can look beneath what we see to realise the underlying reasons and what this may mean for our children
Session 2: 09/05/25 – Thinking about what we understand about autism, we will discuss some practical supports that can be implemented for our children
Session 3: 23/05/25 – In our final session we will discuss some more practical advice but also have a chance to think about the strategies we will try moving forward, any challenges we feel we might have in implementing any change and a general Q&A on autism with our trainers
