About this Event
Why everyday strength and balance matter
The everyday things you used to do without thinking (standing from a chair, climbing stairs, carrying groceries) can start to feel harder with age. Balance gets trickier, posture slips forward, and aches seem to start creeping in.
Too often, people shrug and say, “I’m just getting old.”
But the truth is: if left unaddressed, these small struggles can lead to bigger problems like falls, injury, and loss of independence.
What you’ll learn (and take home)
In this hands-on class, Dr. Andrea Perez (Physical Therapist, 20 years of experience) will teach you how to:
- Sit-to-stand strength: retrain how you rise from a chair and build leg strength to keep doing it over time.
- Balance training: simple, realistic balance exercises (you can even do while brushing your teeth) to strengthen your inner ear and reduce fall risk.
- Posture & shoulder health: band exercises and stretches to protect your shoulders and stand taller.
What you’ll take home:
- A printed exercise guide with easy instructions.
- A resistance band to continue practicing at home.
Why you can trust this approach
- Research shows we lose muscle strength each decade if we don’t train it. Falls are one of the leading causes of injury in older adults, but balance can be trained at any age.
- Andrea has helped hundreds of women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s stay strong, confident, and independent well into their later years.
- These aren’t gym workouts. They’re simple movements you can do at home, make a part of your daily life, so you’ll actually keep doing them.
