About this Event
Introducing science-based, practical, and contemporary meditation for everyone. This meetup offers an opportunity to explore meditation and connect with like-minded individuals in a welcoming environment. Whether you’re new or experienced in meditation, you'll find a supportive space to start or deepen your practice and share insights. Our goal is to share meditation with everyday people and foster connections among those who already benefit from meditation. We hope this meetup kindles a deep and profound clarity on life. We look forward to meeting you!

"Meditation is something that is deceptively simple, yet extraordinarily profound. It's almost impossible to exaggerate how deep, interesting and transformative this simple practice of paying close attention to your experience can become. This can't be proved without actually practicing it.
Consider, by analogy, the science of astronomy. We live, in a city where there is a lot of light pollution. When we look up at the sky at night, we don't see many stars at all. The only stars we see might be planets because they are the only stars bright enough to break through the haze. Our situation is we can't even notice how beautiful the cosmos really is because we can't see it in any detail.
This doesn't give us any reason to doubt that astronomy is a real field of discovery. The difference is you have probably been out in the wilderness or country and seen what the sky looks like without any light pollution. Beyond that, you have surely seen photographs taken from the Hubble Space Telescope of brilliant fields of stars and galaxies.
So even if you have never experienced it directly, there is no reasonable basis to doubt that the sky is incredibly beautiful and that there really is much to discover there. But with respect to your own mind, you may have never had a moment where the conditions were right to see anything of interest directly.
Meditation is a method for creating those conditions. In fact, it is analagous to building your own telescope. Once it's built, you don't lose it. It really is difficult to exaggerate the difference between having recognised the sky of the mind with properly trained attention and never having looked up at all."
- Sam Harris, philosopher, neuroscientist and author.
