Join internationally acclaimed writer and local hothead 🔥 🔥in a workshop exploring ekphrastic poetry! Come explore how the languages of visual art and film can expand our own literary landscapes, and enjoy the caffeinated stylings John and Ysabelle's with Redcart while you’re at it.
We’ll begin with a grounding breathing exercise before reading and discussing the works of poets including Marty McConnell, Solmaz Sharif, and Yesika Salgado, alongside their inspirational artworks. As an exercise, we’ll then respond to two pieces on our own to see how many visions could emerge from considering the same art.
