About this Event
As an industry, we've been talking about artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for decades, but the recent release of Large Language Models (LLM's) like ChatGPT and Claude have made these tools dramatically more accessible than ever before. This will be a hands-on workshop where we work through a series of exercises solving real upstream O&G problems like data manipulation, reading obscure O&G documents, and building basic agents. We'll introduce key concepts such as the basics of LLM's, prompt engineering fundamentals, MCP servers, RAG models, and how to think about Security and AI at your organization. Attendees should bring a laptop and have a paid subscription to one of the major LLM platforms such as Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT, or Microsoft 365 Copilot.
Why us:
We're a team with decades of in-house experience at E&P companies in a variety of disciplines. We've spent years solving challenging technical problems with and without the benefits of AI. We've leveraged our experience working with and creating LLM's to develop a course that gets students up the learning curve quicker on how to extract maximum value from this emerging technology with a focus on Oil & Gas specific use cases.
