PR x MWC Presents Summer Build - Fill a Backpack & Food Baskets Event

Join us on July 27th for our Summer Build at 100 McLevin Avenue in Scarborough as we plan to build 2500 backpacks. For every $20 donated, we can ensure that a young student starts the upcoming school year with essential school supplies. This year, we will also be hosting a Pop-Up Food Basket Build assembling 250 food baskets (a total of 500 bags) alongside the Backpack Build to help support 250 families facing food insecurity.

As we traditionally do with our Ramadan Food Basket Builds, volunteers will be divided across 12 different teams. Each team will consist of 10 members that will work together to fill a backpack or build a food basket. If you are registering with friends and family, please ensure that ALL individuals have their own ticket (1 ticket/registration) and that you each register under the same team in order to stay together on build day!

Project Ramadan is an initiative of MWC dedicated to supporting families faced with food insecurity across Canada. Access to food is a basic human right, not a privilege. Over the past 9 years, MWC and Project Ramadan have been working hard to ensure that every child is on the path to success. Our Fill A Backpack program prepares students from low-income families for a successful school year by providing them with essential school supplies as their classmates. No child should be left behind because of factors they can't control!
