About this Event

PR Pathways: Resume & Career Lab

From Campus to Career

Your resume is more than a list of experiences. It's an opportunity to tell your professional story, highlight your strengths, and show employers what you bring to the table.

Join us for the second event in the PR Pathways series, a hands-on career development workshop connecting UT Austin students with public relations professionals and alumni.

Whether you're preparing for your first internship, applying for jobs, or looking to strengthen your professional presence, this event will help you take the next step with practical advice and personalized feedback.

Event Highlights
  • Resume Reviews: Get direct feedback from PR professionals on how to strengthen your resume and communicate your experience.
  • LinkedIn + Portfolio Feedback: Learn how to better showcase your skills, projects, and professional accomplishments.
  • Career Positioning: Develop a stronger professional introduction and learn how to communicate what makes you a compelling candidate.
  • Industry Connections: Meet PR professionals and alumni who can share insight into employer expectations and early-career opportunities.

What to Expect

Unlike a traditional career presentation, the Resume & Career Lab is designed to be interactive.

Students will participate in small-group discussions and feedback sessions with experienced PR professionals and alumni. You'll have opportunities to ask questions, receive personalized guidance, and identify ways to improve how you present yourself to potential employers.

Bring your resume, questions, and a willingness to make improvements. A laptop is encouraged so you can review your LinkedIn profile, portfolio, and other career materials during the event.
