One-2-One sessions for businesses wanting to explore how marketing & PR could help them
About this Event

Marketing and PR are fundamental tools in selling your product or service. In these 45 min sessions we will look at what each of these involves and how you can plan a marketing and PR strategy for your new business. We will look at the key tools, concepts and ideas relevant to your new venture.

This is about getting the basic right from the start. Including:

• How do you determine your target audience and the best channels to use

• Who is your customer(s) and what problem are you trying to solve for them?

• What is the right mix of marketing actions?

• How do you ensure your brand has a clear message that is effectively relayed

• How do you plan engaging conversations on the most appropriate social media channels

Every start-up will have a range of Marketing/PR needs and during these 1-to-1s we can talk about what is useful to your new business, we will even provide a cup of tea or coffee if you’d like one.

The sessions are held in Junction 3 Library in our purpose-built Business and Intellectual Property Centre.

The sessions are delivered by BIPC manager Paul Kelson. Paul is a communications specialist with over 30 years of experience working in the Bristol region. He has been an account manager for a financial PR agency, the PR Manager at Bristol Water for 15 years and run his own Marketing and Comms business for over 10 years. He has a degree in Economics and an MBA.

Your session will last for about 45 minutes. Sessions are available on multiple dates and multiple times.

We can offer one-to-one sessions by Zoom if you prefer, please book your time slot here on Eventbrite and email [email protected] to ask for your appointment to be held over Zoom.

In order to provide the best support for you and your business ideas, we will be in contact with you by email before your appointment to find out a bit more about your small business.

Following the meeting, the Business & IP Centre will send you a link to a feedback form that helps us monitor and improve our events.
