The popular Powerhouse Jazz Band was formed in Perth in early 1997 with the commitment to perform a variety of popular jazz styles, but playing mainly dixieland, swing and some latin. We are proud to have still in the band the original musos with Phil Hatton, Barry Bruce, John Healy, Tim Woolley and myself on trombone.
We also had the great privilege of having with us great trumpet players like Murray Swain, Paddy Fitzallan, the great Mal Jennings and the now very busy Benn Hodgkin. We heartily welcome now the fab Rob Bresland on trumpet joining us. Rounding up the band is the most versatile Kim Anning on guitar and banjo.
For this gig, as Barry Bruce is unfortunately sick, the talented Tony Celiberti will be on piano.
