Power to the Paper: Jailbreaking Disclosure - UFO Art Show. Lecture. Seance
About this Event
Power to the Paper: Jailbreaking Disclosure
A UFO art show, lecture series, roundtables, tarot readings, and an evening of experiencer art, storytelling, and disclosure through creative expression.
Greg Bishop and Creepy Kingdom present Power to the Paper: Jailbreaking Disclosure, a one-night UFO art event exploring how artists, researchers, experiencers, filmmakers, and storytellers use images, paper, symbols, and personal expression to reveal what official reports often cannot.
This is not a traditional UFO conference.
This is disclosure through experiencer art.
For one night only, The Crooked Path Apothecary in Burbank will become an intimate gallery and discussion space centered on nonhuman contact, encounter experiences, UFO imagery, strange testimony, art, and the visual language of the unknown.
Curated by Greg Bishop, Power to the Paper features unique visions of nonhuman contact by ten artists:
Susan Demeter
Barbara Fisher
Erica Lukes
David Metcalfe
Lucinda Morel
Steve Neill
James Pike
Sam Shearon
Peter Stichbury
Renee Reeser Zelnick
Selected works on display will be available for purchase.
The evening will also include rare UFO and space-inspired music, tarot readings by Dr. Thea Wirsching, hosted refreshments, poster and catalogue sales, and two roundtable discussions exploring art, encounter experiences, filmmaking, storytelling, and the role of creative work in disclosure.
The roundtable conversations will be hosted by Creepy Kingdom’s Shannon McGrew, who will guide the discussions through the intersections of encounter experiences, art, filmmaking, horror, pop culture, and belief.
The second roundtable features filmmaker Dean Alioto, Greg Bishop, Ryan Grulich, and acclaimed horror director and UFO enthusiast Darren Lynn Bousman, whose work in genre storytelling brings a powerful pop culture lens to the conversation around encounters, belief, fear, spectacle, and the unknown.
