In Exodus 19, when God descended on Mount Sinai, His presence was marked by thunder and lightning—a divine surge from above that shook the very foundation of the earth. His power was so immense that the people trembled before Him.
But God’s power—this unstoppable force—doesn't remain in the sky. It surges from the heavens into the hearts of the broken, the hurting, and the lost. When Jesus walked among us, He didn’t just demonstrate divine authority—He brought heavenly power down to earth, to heal, deliver, and transform.
In Luke 4:18, Jesus proclaimed, 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me... to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free.' His power—heaven’s power—poured out over humanity like a divine wave of healing and deliverance.
Like lightning that strikes from the heavens, so does God’s power flow from above, breaking into our lives with unmatched force and transformation! In Mark 5, when the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus, heaven’s power surged through her. Instantly—her suffering ended. Instantly—her life was renewed.
God’s power isn’t just a distant, abstract force. It surges down from the heavens, into the brokenness of our world. It heals, restores, and brings hope. When He moves, sickness flees, chains shatter, and hearts are made new!
But here’s the profound truth: that power doesn’t stop with us. The same power that descends from the heavens works through us. God’s power flows through His people—through our hands, our prayers, and our faith—to reach out to a hurting world.
In Acts 1:8, Jesus said, 'You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you.' This power isn’t just for us to experience—it’s for us to share. As His Spirit fills us, we become vessels of heaven’s power, bringing healing to the broken, hope to the hopeless, and light to those enveloped in darkness.
God’s power, like lightning from the heavens, works through us to change the world! His divine force flows from the throne of heaven, through our hearts, into the lives of those in need. We are His agents—His instruments of transformation.
