Some of the most interesting conversations about desire start with a question nobody wants to ask out loud.

Like: what if you actually want someone to take the lead? Or what if you love being the one in charge and you’ve never quite known what to do with that?

Power Play is a warm, guided introduction to the ways we give, take, and negotiate control in our intimate lives. This can be a curiosity, a discovery, and most definitely, something worth understanding about yourself.

Margaux Underwood will guide you through 90 minutes of conversation, somatic exercises, and playful partner activities that explore:

• What power actually feels like in the body and how to recognize your own signals.
• How desire shifts when someone else takes the lead (or when you do).
• Why surrender can feel just as powerful as being the one calling the shots.
• How to communicate what you want, set clear agreements, and stay present in your body throughout.

Curiosity is the only requirement. You can attend when you are not sure.  Maybe you have never thought this before!  Or, possibly, you’ve thought about it for years and never had a place for conversation and education.

Margaux Underwood is a Dallas-based somatic intimacy coach and educator with a background in behavioral science and a genuine fascination with people. Her work is centered around embodiment and connection and all the strange little ways humans try to protect themselves from both.

She creates spaces that feel warm and thoughtful without feeling overly serious about it all. People tend to relax around her quickly. Maybe a little too quickly. One minute everyone is making polite conversation and the next someone is realizing they haven’t taken a full breath in three days.

Margaux is especially interested in what happens when people slow down enough to actually notice themselves. The tension they carry. The stories they repeat. The way the body usually knows something long before the mind catches up.
