Power of the Purse

Ladies, get ready for a night of unforgettable fun! Our 2nd Annual Power of the Purse is just around the corner, and you don’t want to miss it.
This event raises funds for the general fund of United Way of Mahaska County. Every dollar stays right here in Mahaska County to strengthen our four pillars:
Healthy Community includes initiatives like the Volunteer Center, Day of Caring, and the Winter Coat Drive.
Financial Security supports programs such as VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and services that help families achieve stability.
Youth Opportunity equips children with tools to succeed through the Back to School Fair and Imagination Library.
Community Resilience ensures families have resources like the Take‑Along Weekend Food Program to meet essential needs.
By attending, you’re not just bidding on purses — you’re investing in these pillars and making a lasting impact for families right here at home.
The evening features a silent auction with a variety of purses, bags, and totes, plus a live auction with both high‑end and everyday options. If purses aren’t your thing, you’ll still enjoy a delicious meal, laughter, and time with friends. And yes, some handsome and hilarious gentlemen will be catering to us throughout the night!
