Power of Disability 2026: Nothing About Me Without Me

This year’s event is all about ‘Nothing about Me without Me’. We’re inviting students and learners with disabilities to come together to reimagine third level education, in a conference by disabled students for disabled students

Join us for sessions and discussions about navigating college life, studying, and moving on to graduate employment as a student with a disability. Then we’ll pass the mic over to you, giving students with disabilities an opportunity to share your experiences and to let AHEAD and AMLÉ know your ideas for an accessible and inclusive third level education system

Power of Disability 2026 will run online from 10:30 am to 13:30pm. After our keynote address, there will be sessions on navigating college life, studying, and graduate employment as a student with a disability. Throughout the event, you'll be able to share your experiences and ideas with AHEAD and AMLÉ using an interactive whiteboard.

In person attendees are invited to join us from 10am for tea and coffee, before the conference opens at 10:30am. In addition to the morning sessions, participants will engage in a feedback session with AHEAD and AMLÉ. The in-person event will run until 16:30, with a lunch break from 13:15 – 14:15. Lunch will be provided.
