Freedom of speech is under attack in Australia. Some groups and individuals are labeled extremists and terrorists, and then silenced, while others are free to spread misinformation and blatant lies. The main stream media and many politicians are corrupted by lobby groups. Our right to peacefully protest is more important than ever!Join us for the Power of Activism a one-day, grassroots creative event for a concerned community.
Through film, photography, dance, poetry and music, artists and activists come together to explore how creativity shapes social change.
The day includes installations, performances and speakers, featuring Australian artists, Indigenous voices and community changemakers. We’re confirming a great lineup of speakers - stay tuned!
It is part of the Adelaide Fringe and is free and open to everyone.
