About this Event
Join the Chicago Chapter Charities Foundation, Power Sponsor UI Health and Power Sponsor Denim & Damask for Power & Purpose Chicago 2024, our annual fundraiser luncheon. This year's theme: "See Me! Hear Me! Empower Me!: Promoting Black Maternal Health," focuses on elevating the voices that are crying out about this public health crisis. Maternal mortality is a matter of national health and well-being. Black women experience maternal morbidity and mortality rates 2.6 times higher than White women.
Featuring Keynote Speaker, award-winning Director Tonya Lewis Lee, our goal for Power & Purpose Chicago 2024 is to harness the collective power and purpose of our guests in action to improve maternal health outcomes. Further, the aim of this luncheon is to raise funds to aid community-based organizations that are working to improve Black maternal health, to deepen their efforts to raise awareness, and to provide greater access to support and services with the overarching goal of reducing the impact of this public health crisis on the physical and mental wellness of families and communities
The Chicago Chapter Charities Foundation (CCCF) is answering this alarming call to action and is working for change by spotlighting the Black Maternal Health Crisis at our sixth annual Power & Purpose Luncheon on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Union League Club of Chicago.
