Power and Play
About this Event
Power & Play is a beginner-friendly exploration of consensual power dynamics, communication, sensation, trust, and intentional play. Whether you’re completely new to BDSM or looking to deepen your understanding beyond basic rope instruction, this workshop offers a broader look at how people safely and creatively explore power exchange in intimate settings.
Together, we’ll discuss topics such as:
- Communication and negotiation
- Consent and boundaries
- Creating scenes and intentional experiences
- Emotional and physical safety preparation
- Public dungeon spaces vs. private play
- Impact play and common implements
- Restraints and sensory exploration
- Verbal, psychological, and energetic dynamics
- Aftercare and emotional processing
This class is designed to reduce fear, increase confidence, and help participants better understand the foundations of safe, connected, and consensual exploration.
No experience is necessary. Singles and couples are welcome.
This is an educational workshop focused on communication, safety, curiosity, and pleasure-centered exploration in a respectful, inclusive environment.
Margaux Underwood is a Dallas-based somatic intimacy coach and educator with a background in behavioral science and a genuine fascination with people. Her work is centered around embodiment and connection and all the strange little ways humans try to protect themselves from both.
She creates spaces that feel warm and thoughtful without feeling overly serious about it all. People tend to relax around her quickly. Maybe a little too quickly. One minute everyone is making polite conversation and the next someone is realizing they haven’t taken a full breath in three days.
Margaux is especially interested in what happens when people slow down enough to actually notice themselves. The tension they carry. The stories they repeat. The way the body usually knows something long before the mind catches up.
