Looking to play some powerful Commander with your friends?! We've been strong advocates of the "turn zero" conversation on our casual EDH nights, where a pre-game primer sets the tone and expectations for your table, and we're looking to test its limits and raise the stakes by turning it into an official event!
Our non-cEDH event has the following deck building constraints:
No more than 3 mana-positive mana rocks
No more than 4 unrestricted tutors
The following cards are banned in addition to the official commander banlist:
Demonic Consultation
Tainted Pact
Underworld Breach
Gaea’s Cradle
Playtest cards are allowed for these events and must follow the guidelines below:
Playtest cards cannot comprise more than 50% of your deck
Cards must be in full color
Cards must use original Magic art to be recognizable
Cards are more than just just printed paper in front of a card
Checklist cards are legal but we do ask you use no more than 10 for board clarity
Join us every Friday at 7:00 pm and bring your A-game! Those decks that are too strong for your weekly game nights, that make you wince (or cackle) when they lock down the table? Toss those in the bag and get ready to compete in two rounds of high-powered EDH action, and receive payouts based on your standing!
Each night you'll be paired within a single pod. Prior to the start of each game we ask that everyone provide a quick review of what they are playing. Swap out decks to match the intensity of your pod, make alliances that suit your favor, and remember: the goal is to win.
Prizes will be paid out in store credit and promo packs, with extra special chase cards thrown in to sweeten the pot if we get large enough attendance (so spread the word)!
NOTE: This is NOT a cEDH event, but you may play up to the cEDH level if enough players attend.
