The Poverty Simulation offers a unique, enlightening experience that invites individuals to grasp what life is truly like for a typical low-income family trying to survive each month. Participants will have the opportunity to face the harsh realities of poverty while uncovering the profound impact of living with limited resources. A facilitated discussion will follow to unpack these valuable experiences and explore how communities can collectively tackle this challenge.
This transformative journey will provide invaluable insight into the daily struggles of those living in poverty, and your presence will enhance the richness and diversity of perspectives. If a passion for creating positive change drives you, we encourage you to register for this immersive experience.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Support with set-up and tear-down
- Registration support
- Serve as a vendor or agency representative
- Greet and also help support participants in their Simulation journey
Please arrive on time to help with setup.
Lunch will be provided in advance of the event (volunteers only)
Virtual volunteer orientation will take place prior to the event. Instructions and meeting links will be provided after registration.
