About this Event
Part 2 of the Roots & Rituals: Herbal Living at Urbandale Plant Path SeriesFriday, June 19, 6:30-8:30 PM705 S Hayford Ave, Lansing, MI 48912
🌙 Roots & Rituals brings people together to explore herbal traditions through shared learning, hands-on tasks and community connection. From teas and tinctures to topicals and herbal foods, the series offers practical skills for incorporating plant wellness into everyday life.
Learn about poultices, infused oils, balms, and salves using common herbs and garden “weeds” that support skin health and first aid. We will explore herbs such as yarrow, plantain, and dandelion while learning how to identify, harvest, and prepare them for topical use. Participants will learn how fresh herbs can be made into soothing poultices and how herbal oils can be transformed into nourishing balms and salves for cuts, bites, irritation, and everyday skin care. This hands-on workshop includes herbal tea, plant education, and community learning in the garden.
Please be aware that there is a portable toilet only.
Parking is on Hayford Ave.
