🎨 Learn the Art of Sgraffito
Discover the beautiful and timeless technique of sgraffito, where surface design meets clay.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to carve through layers of colored slip to reveal the clay beneath, creating stunning contrast and intricate designs. Sgraffito is a technique loved by ceramic artists for its expressive, graphic style—and it’s incredibly satisfying to create.
Whether you’re a beginner or have worked with clay before, this workshop will guide you step-by-step through the process.
What you’ll learn:

Your project:
You will decorate a prepared ceramic piece (mug, bowl, plate or planter) using colored slip and carving tools to create your own unique design.
All materials, tools, and firing are included. Once finished, your piece will be glazed and kiln-fired and ready for pickup at the studio in a few weeks.
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to slow down, explore creativity, and experience the meditative rhythm of carving into clay.
