Perfect for absolute beginners or those looking to refresh their skills, this workshop is designed to get your hands dirty and your imagination spinning. Artventures offers a warm and welcoming studio space equipped with individual pottery wheels and all the materials you need to get started.

Over the course of the session, you’ll receive personal instruction from one of our experienced and encouraging pottery teachers. You’ll learn the basics of:

• Centering your clay on the wheel
• Opening and pulling walls
• Shaping and forming a simple vessel (such as a cup, bowl, or cylinder)

Each participant will have their own wheel, so you’ll get the full experience of throwing on your own while still receiving plenty of individual attention and helpful tips. The workshop is paced to allow you to focus on learning through doing—whether you create one piece or a few small test forms, the emphasis is on having fun and getting a feel for the wheel.

• 1 hour of guided instruction and wheel time
• All materials (1/2 lb of clay, tools, apron)
• A relaxing, playful environment with good vibes, and creative energy

This class is ideal for individuals, couples, friends, and even small groups looking to try something new. It also makes a fantastic date idea or a thoughtful gift for a creative loved one.

• This is a beginner-level workshop, no prior experience required
• Ages 14+ recommended (younger participants must be accompanied by a participating adult)
