About this Event

Enroll in a 3-7 days long creative pottery retreat (Paid) and learn how to throw clay with a professional ceramist. This retreat will teach you everything you need to know before you start throwing pots out of the clay and you’ll be surprised how effortless it is to make your own handmade ceramic daily dishes and utensils, or anything you can think of. It also will be an opportunity to start building a collection of your own artwork that you can use every day and a chance to free your creativity while focusing on your inner being in a soothing atmosphere, surrounded by nature. You'll also meet people from various professions and backgrounds, who share a common love for art.

The Dharamkot retreat is a creative place that quells your soul. Take some time away from the city to reconnect and find a state of the balance; refresh your mind, body, and spirit. At the Dharamkot creative art retreat, you choose your pace. There is never an obligation to be involved in an activity if you don’t feel like it. Be believe relaxation isn't a luxury—it's a necessity. So spend your days getting back to the basics: stretching out in the sunlight or exercising, doing yoga or meditating, reading books under a tree, walking on forest trails or listening to the sound of nature – whatever brings inner peace to you.

Firing and shipping- 700/piece you will have created a handful of pieces (3+ depending on what sizes you create) and will have an opportunity to decorate your pieces with underglaze paints. Your pieces will then be taken away to be fired, and then finished with a clear glaze (if you choose) and shipped.

The pottery retreat is suitable for both, prior participants of ceramics workshops and complete beginners, no prior experience with ceramics is required. During the retreat participants will reach the skills necessary to make their own pottery, i.e. throwing pots on the wheel and hand-building.

This is a retreat to experiencing life in an alternative way, breathing fresh air, and enjoying a combination of stillness and activity. Enjoy the peace and quiet, privacy, time for yourself to relax, reflect and create. If that sounds like something you are gonna enjoy, this retreat is for you!

About the Dharamkot retreat:

Located in footsteps of Triund, our retreat place is known as Stairway to Triund. Our treehouse apartment is surrounded by lush green jungles and an expansive view of kangra valley; you will feel like you're in the middle of a jungle, with the most distant sound being bird chirping and your own breathing. Go meditate, take a walk through the woods, and have an encounter with nature.

What’s near by?

Tushita buddhist meditation center- 400 meters

Dhamma Shikhar Vipassana- 450 meters

Flag point- 600 meter (Go for a walk here in the morning or evening to enjoy breathtaking mountain views)

Trek and Dine-500 meter- Best option for food. You won’t be disappointed with any dish they offer!

Gallu devi temple- 1.5 KM: Admire the breathtaking views from a sunset cafe on top of the hill here.

Naddi- 2 Km : The mountain views from Naddi are simply breathtaking!

Triund trek-12 KM : Infamous trek of the area.

We can’t wait to have you join us for this pottery retreat. We’ve limited the class size to 10 people so that we can provide you with more one-on-one instruction, more inspiration and really get to know each other—creative junkies just like you!

We offer flexible packages to suit your needs, you can choose to attend a minimum of three days of workshop to seven days as per your own interest.

Refund Policy

Unfortunately, because of limited space we're unable to offer refunds for cancellations, however we do understand that life gets in the way sometimes so we will be able to offer you a voucher for a future workshop in 2022. We kindly ask for 7 days notice before the start date of your workshop.
