Pottery Pumpkin Carving ~ A Sculpt & Sip Experience

You've watched a million pottery videos online. Now it's time to try it out in person! Join me on Saturday, October 24th for this fun and festive pottery pumpkin painting and carving class at The Rock--Pittsburgh’s newest and vibiest private event space in the West End.
Each person will pick their favorite pumpkin (all handmade by me and in the perfect "leather hard" stage for carving), then I'll walk you through each stage of painting it with colorful underglazes and carving your designs through the surface in whatever style suits you--scary, whimsical, fall fantasy--be creative! I’ll have plenty of finished inspiration pumpkins on hand, but feel free to bring your own ideas or improvise in the moment. Add-on pumpkins in many sizes will be available for those who wish to create their own mini pumpkin patch. Invite your friends, a date, or come solo--all are welcome. No prior sculpting or clay experience is necessary.

PRICE: $90 (per person)

THE FINE PRINT:
Cost covers all materials, tools, instruction, kiln firing, and a tasty adult beverage or non-alcoholic drink during your class. Your lantern will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup in 2 weeks so you can enjoy it for the entire fall season!
*Add-ons, such as extra clay, additional pumpkins (greenware and bisque), specialty finish glazing by the instructor, additional drinks, and finished pumpkins will be available on-site at an additional cost.
Each class runs for the full time, minus 15 minutes for clean up before the next session begins. If you are still working on your masterpiece and there is space in the next session, $10 will get you an extra hour of time to complete your project.
Clay classes are messy, so please dress accordingly.
Each session includes a free adult beverage for those 21+ with ID, or a non-alcoholic beverage.
There are 5 steps down to the event space.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Last minute cancellations will be refunded at 50% of the total cost. However, if you reschedule for another class in the month of October, your full purchase price will be applied to the new class.
