Join our resident Watts Potter Bahareh Khomeiry on Friday for a creative and inspiring hands-on pottery session, exploring a variety of exciting techniques and skills.
In one session, make your own ceramic piece to be fired ready to use or display in your home. Each theme runs for two weeks, but each session is standalone, so book for just one or as many as you wish and dive into the technique of the week!
Choose a theme that suits you:
✏️ Stencil and Pottery
9 and 16 Jan
Discover the joy of pattern and colour through stencilling with clay. In this session, you’ll create your own hand-built platter using the slab technique, then decorate it using a range of beautiful stencils.
💠 Origami with Clay
23 and 30 Jan
Explore the art of folding and form through clay! In this creative session, we’ll experiment with origami-inspired techniques—bending, folding, and shaping slabs to create dynamic and sculptural ceramic forms.
🍃 Nature Plates
6 and 13 Feb
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature through clay. In this hands-on session, we’ll explore the art of imprinting plants and leaves onto clay slabs, capturing their delicate textures and organic patterns.
☕ Cappuccino Mug and Saucer
20 and 27 Feb
Create your own handmade mug and saucer — perfect for enjoying your favourite cosy drink. In this session, you’ll learn how to shape and build your set using the slab technique, adding your own personal touches to make it truly unique.
Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, these sessions are a great opportunity to experiment, create, and refine your skills in a welcoming and sociable studio setting.
