Pottery: Handmade Harvest Jugs (5-week course)

Celebrate autumn by making clay jugs inspired by the traditional Harvest Jugs of North Devon 'slipware' pottery. You'll learn how to build pots using pinch and coil techniques before decorating with a scratching technique called sgraffito.

No experience needed - suitable for beginners and returners.

All materials provided. We recommend you bring an apron and wear clothes that you don't mind getting a bit mucky!

Times and Attendance

Class takes place Tuesdays from September 26th.

We start at 10:00am and finish at 12:30. There will be a short break and tea and coffee will be provided.

This is a 5-week course (no class during half term week 24 October)

You will be required to complete an Exeter College Registration Form at the first session.

Venue

This class takes place in the Parish Room at St David's Church, Exeter. The Room is situated to the side of the church, off Queen's Terrace and directly opposite Exeter College.

Commitment: we ask that learners endeavour to commit to the full 5-week course to enable everyone to get the most from the sessions.

Courses are popular, we now run a wait- list for our Eventbrite courses, please advise us if you are no longer able to attend the course so we can offer your place to somebody else.
