In this fun and unique two-part hand building/sculpting clay pottery workshop in Petrie, learn to sculpt, decorate and glaze your own ceramic posey head planter.Part 1 - 3rd June 2023 at 9am (3-5 hours)
Lisa from Bee Creative Pottery will teach you the techniques of rolling slabs, coil building, joining, mould making, attaching the head to the body and decorating. Once dry your planter will be bisque fired ready for glazing
Part 2 - 1st July 2023 at 9am - 12
You will return so Lisa can teach you all you need to know to successfully glaze your bisque-fired work. You will Underglaze (1-2 coats) or glaze (3 coats) your pieces before they’ll be fired again.
Enjoy the relaxing and mindful practice of hand building and sculpting pottery that allows you to destress while getting creative and take home your own posey head planter finishing up with pottery skills that last a lifetime.
Please allow approximately 4 weeks after the workshop for your pieces to be ready for collection.
NOTE: Part 1 is approximately 3-5hrs duration. We don’t like to rush the process staying until you complete this part of the process. Please allow up to 5hrs for this part.
