A weekly pottery class for hand building ceramics.Want to learn more about working with clay alongside fellow local artists? Join one of our weekly learning clubs to learn new skills, gain inspiration from fellow artists, and share your knowledge with them too.
All skill levels welcome. No prior experience needed.
Weekly clubs will take place at Mary Helen’s home studio, Kiln Club HQ, in southwest Austin near Brodie and William Cannon. (The exact address will be shared after signup.)
Session includes:
As much or as little guidance and instruction as you’d like.
Access to studio tools, equipment, and studio glazes.
Firing for pieces made during club sessions.

Hand Building Club
Wednesdays, from 11:30am to 2:30pm
Hand Building Club will focus on developing basic and advanced skills and techniques used in hand built ceramics. We will work on techniques such as slab building, coil building, and the use of molds. We will also play with surface decoration techniques such as sgraffito, slip trailing, transfer printing, and more.
