Pottery Bird House Workshop

Learn how to build your own bird house from just a slab of clay! In this two session course, an instructor from the Elkhart Art League will teach you the basics of slab hand building—rolling out your slab of clay, applying texture to your slab, using templates to create your forms, decorating your bird house to create your own style, and the final step of glazing your piece.
This course takes place on two separate Saturdays, June 20th and July 11th. When you sign up, you're in for both sessions! Students will take home one finished bird house one week after the second session. All supplies are included in the workshop price, please feel free to bring an apron from home if you'd like.
The classes will take place under our covered Outdoor Classroom. Please plan to dress for the weather. If inclement weather arises, classes may be moved into our indoor Cottage Classroom. This class is intended for ages 13+. All minors must be accompanied by a registered adult.
