Five-week course on Wednesdays
First course: 15, 22, 29 October and 5, 12 November 2025
10am - 12.30pm or 1.30 - 4pm
Second course: 19, 26 November and 3, 10, 17 December 2025
1.30 - 4pm
The 5-week Beginners Throwing Course at Watts Gallery is taught by resident ceramicist Bahareh Khomeiry and is perfect for those new to the wheel.
Course structure:
Weeks 1 to 2 - Experimenting with different techniques.
Weeks 3 to 4 - Honing throwing skills. Keeping four of your best pieces to retain.
Week 5 - Final week dedicated to decorating your selected pieces using decorative slips, sgraffito and underglazes.
