Learn how to throw on the Potter's Wheel! This class is designed for adults with little to no experience with clay and focuses exclusively on the Potter's wheel. Your instructor will guide you through simple forms, how to trim them, fire and glaze them. Each session will include a skills demonstration from the instructor and provide time for hands-on learning.
What to bring: An apron and/or hand towel
All supplies and materials are included in the course
Bronwyn Arundel, a full-time potter since 2012, studied ceramics and art history at NSCAD University. She founded Nanaimo Ceramic Arts Studio & Gallery in 2018 — an 1800 sq ft creative hub with classrooms, tech rooms, and studio spaces managed with the help of a vibrant community of Artists-in-Residence, Apprentices, and instructors.
